I’ve been an elopement photographer for a while, and when it comes down to it, I want to tell your story as best as possible in an artistic style. (And make you feel super hot, obv.) Whether it’s you and your partner eloping, or 15 of your closest people celebrating with you, your elopement can be anything you want, and I would love to document it for you.

What to Expect When You Elope with Datura Photo

Elopements are THE best. There’s less rushing, and more feeling versus staging. When you choose Datura Photo as your elopement photographer, you are getting someone who will help with the timeline, logistics, and who wants you to feel your best in the photos. Your elopement will be relaxed but fun, wild but intentional, and full of prompted moments. Even when we’re taking posed portraits, it’s fun, and you’ll get romantic photos along with fun candid photos that make you feel something. Your experience will feel like adventure, laughter, love, and presence. Elopements are truly special, and the stress that comes with a typical wedding is gone. It’s about you two.

So many couples tell me they just want to be present. They want their wedding to actually feel like them, not put on a show for everyone else. Some of my couples still do a celebration with friends and family after they elope, but they crave that intimate time together focused on the moment rather than catering to hundreds of people.

Eloping gives you freedom. It lets you strip away the pressure, the noise, and the expectations. You get to focus on what really matters: the two of you, your story, and the promises you're making.

It can be as simple or as epic as you want. Maybe it’s just the two of you in the redwoods, saying vows at sunrise. Maybe you bring a handful of your favorite humans and toast champagne on a mountaintop. However you choose to do it, it’ll be real. Intimate. Yours.
