The Best gender reveal idea!!!! Soccer ball gender reveal.

I love working with repeat clients and was so so thrilled to get to photograph this beautiful client’s gender reveal party. I’ve been to several gender reveal parties, but this soccer kick reveal was a first for me. And it was SO FREAKING COOL. They had powder filled soccer balls and kicked them to reveal the baby’s gender.

Genius. They are both soccer players so it couldn’t have been more perfect.

They also had a party table set up with old wives tales, a candy table setup with cupcakes, pink and blue candy, balloons, and all sorts of goodies.

It’s a GIRL!!!!!!!! I remember being pregnant with my first and being convinced I was having a boy based on old wives tales and intuition. I really wanted a girl first but I was ecstatic either way. I craved salty and spicy, her heart rate was around 140, I slept on my left side, and I didn’t get morning sickness. All “indicators” that I was having a boy. I even called the baby a “he” for a while. When I found out I was having a girl I was SO BEYOND EXCITED. And funny enough, as the pregnancy progressed, I had more old wives tales indicators that I was having a girl. I looked horrible, had constant breakouts, was soft and squishy and didn’t have the cute round basketball belly and didn’t carry low, and I felt horrible in general. But mostly just.. tired. When I had my son I felt great, looked way better than my first pregnancy, had more of a round basketball style belly, and although tired I had more energy than with my first.

What do you think about the old wives tales? We’re they right for you?

Was that not the cutest gender reveal?! The mom and dad are both soccer players so it was perfect.
